Saving our Skins - now available on Kindle
... and substack followers in New Zealand can order colour prints from me.
Dang. The timing certainly wasn’t perfect for my book launch last week. Several readers from New Zealand and Australia have noted that the item can’t be shipped to their address.
I contacted Amazon to find out why and was informed that it was (somehow) due to Covid-19 restrictions. When I told them that wasn’t good enough, Bezos obviously quaked in his boots and their next email said that it would be available after all. They gave detailed instructions, which I followed assiduously.
Sadly, the method failed again, so that source still doesn’t seem to be an option for the printed version in our part of the world. I’ve written them another message, but haven’t heard back from them yet. No doubt they’ll so scared that they’ll have to offer me free stock options.
To get around this, I'm looking in to having a few copies of the colour version printed locally exclusively for the New Zealand and Australia markets. It looks like I can get those out for rather less than you’d pay via Amazon. They would be a slightly smaller A5 format - but otherwise essentially the same as the deluxe colour version. So far I have a list of about 20 copies needed, but I need to decide how many I’ll need in total. Please let me know if you wish to be added to that list.
I’ve also now made the full-colour version available for kindle readers (though of course you won’t see that full colour on the bog standard kindle readers). The kindle version also include numerous hot links which (of course) are not available on the printed version. With the numerous figures there’s a little too much white space for my liking, but that than be adjusted by modifying the text size on your reader. But I think you’ll like the price a bit more!!
